WELCOME!
My blog is a big part of my business and my creative process. It really is a kind of living journal for me. It's patient and loyal, it listens and even responds with your comments. It's where I feel like I can share my ideas, my work, my creativity, my life. I can be joyful, grateful, wistful, excited and nervous. In the two and a half years I've been pursuing this amazing dream my blog has become the record of triumphs big and small and will hopefully record many more incredible adventures, not just my own, but the adventures of the people who have come into my life as a result of my work.

I love feedback and hope, if something catches your eye or your interest, you will leave me a message.

Love Dani

February 13, 2010 // event / personal
Valentines day is the best day of the year. Yes, I know there are skeptics out there. People who say it's a day master minded by hallmark, florists and the chocolate candy companies. But even if it's true isn't it worth having a day dedicated to celebrating love?

Today I spent the day on Whyte Ave in Edmonton and capped the evening off with a great live show at The Pawn Shop. Rural Alberta Advantage, Wooden Sky, and The Great Bloomers all rocked. So here's the love;

If you're the guy that gave us a free ticket to the early show,
I love you.

If you are the starbucks barrista who made a cute little joke about my sneeze and made me smile,
I love you.

If you're dating my sister in law and are sweet to her and her family plus make me laugh 'til I snort,
I love you.

If you're Jenn, the photographer who took my email so you could send me picutres from the show,
I love you.

If you're a guy who can pull off skinny jeans,
I love you.

If you're the waitress who made your way through the crowd at the show to bring us drinks,
I love you.

If you're the girl who flicked your hair in my face repeatedly to try and move me out of my good spot,
I don't love you and you should try to be nicer.

The following are a few images of the bands we saw tonight. I didn't take any of them and don't know who did so I can't credit them.

Who do you love?
Cheers,
Dani

Last Friday I photographed some of the volunteer models at The Dreams Fashion show held to raise funds for breast cancer research. Late last year I lost a friend to breast cancer and all funds raised from the sale of prints and digital files from these images will be donated to The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in Lorna's name.
The images for sale can be viewed on the client page of our website. The password for the gallery is "dreams".
Here is a preview;
Please call (306 980 8333) if you have any questions or would like to order.
Cheers,
Dani

I just wanted to say thank you for donating all funds raised in my mom's name. She would of loved it. I have to admit when I read that you were doing that, I teared up. Thanks again.
