You are awesome! You totally make my world! Thank you so much for trusting us with your biggest of days. Thanks for creating gorgeous, romantic, lovely days for us to document. Thank you for being vunerable in front of our cameras. There is not a moment that goes by during which I am not completely thankful for you and the amazing impact you have in my daily life.

I received a couple of lovely emails from brides today thanking me, but I cannot express enough just how thankful I am for them. I really can't think of a better job. I meet the most amazing people and I'm constantly making new friends. Devin is always making fun of me because after every shoot I always say I want that couple to be our new best friends. Kinda creepy, I know, but I really do love and appreciate all of my incredible clients.

Trevor & Crystal :: Married

February 22, 2009 // wedding

He says she is most like a squirell, always busy planning and organizing. She beams at the description and is very proud of her role as wife and Mom. The coming together of Crystal and Trevor brings the combined household to a total of nine.

The ceremony included not only vows written by Trevor and Crystal to each other, but also vows to each others children. It was a beautiful wedding, absolutely perfect for Valentines Day.

I love this first image. It perfectly epitomizes Crystals squirell nature;

The girls got ready at the Days Inn. With four little girls, three under six including an infant, it was a busy morning.

Crystals dress was an absolutely stunning red gown. Trevor was so surprised to see her in red, he had no idea.

The ceremony and reception were held at Par Place.

After the ceremony we did a few portraits out in the freezing cold, then headed to the Ramada for some hot portraits.

From there it was back to the reception for food, speeches, games, and of course the first Dance;

Hey Mickey, So glad you received the magazine. I got my latest issue yesterday too. Aren't the images breathe taking? Pocket Wizards are radio trans-receivers that allow me to fire my flash off camera. Very portable, perfect for on location lighting.

Elaine :: Business Shots

I worked for Elaine years ago. She was a great boss; she is kind, and funny, and has high expectations for the people who work for her. She helped to instill a strong work ethic in me and for that I'm grateful.

So when she called me to take a few head shots for her latest business venture I was more than happy to oblige.

Vedress Family :: Expecting

This session took place a few weeks ago now. I'd better hurry and post it before the baby arrives!! I'm so pumped about all the families and brand new babies I've photographed this year. I'm a very lucky girl.

With a two year old and a new baby on the way, the Vedress household is about to get VERY busy!

Their two year old girl would have much prefferd to just have me over for a play date. She is so cute and funny, a total performer.

I can't wait to meet your new addition! See you soon.

Brian, Jenn, & Chloe :: Playing

The best way to get better is to practice, practice, practice and try new things. Last weekend Brian, Jenn, and Chloe agreed to be my practice clients for some new products I had to try and new techniques I want to learn. It turns out I need WAY more practice for a few things, but this group were such great sports about everything.

We did manage to capture a few good images though;

Another Graduation Season Approaches

Grade twelve students are starting to prepare for graduation. It's how you know spring is on it's way. Brent & Donna :: e-session

I am soooo behind on blogging. It's been a busy few weeks for us; we had sewage back up into our basement (GROSS), Devin's sister Kylie collapsed at school and needed neuro-surgery in Edmonton, and we've decided to open a studio/gallery space in downtown Prince Albert. I've had several wonderful sessions that I just haven't found time to blog, but I'm starting fresh today!

This afternoon I met Brent and Donna downtown with their huge pooch chopper. Brent and Donna are passionate people. They ooze love and compassion for each other and I couldn't be more excited to be photographing their wedding this March.

Trevor & Crystal :: E-session

I don't know how it happens, but again and again Devin and I are blessed to have the most incredible people come into our lives. Meeting Trevor and Crystal for the first time to capture some engagement images was like catching up with old friends. The conversation and laughter came so easily. I'm looking forward to being a part of Trevor and Crystal's wedding on Valentines Day (aka the best day of the year!).

After playing in the cold a while we decided to head up the street to the Bison Cafe to warm up with hot beverages.
